Size Talks.
And then this.
YOU’LL READ THIS FIRST.
And finally this.
Did you know that our brains read text in a certain pattern?
Even if the text is out of order on the page - our brains will read the text according to size.
That’s why it is extremely important that your materials are designed appropriately for the message you are trying to deliver. Are you capturing the audience’s attention in a matter of seconds, or are they going to put that postcard down?
Here’s how to design a text pattern your audience will follow:
Make your hook the largest - and make it good.
Add supporting details in a medium size. Now is the time to really support that hook. What is the second most important detail for them to read?
In the smallest text, wrap up with any additional information that is relevant to your reader. Make these details the cherry on top that will seal the deal!
Careful not to give our readers a seizure - three different font sizes is plenty.
Prioritize your words, and say them quickly.
Oh, and all caps is only yelling when it’s in a text message or a social media comment. You’re fine - use the caps. Especially for the larger text you want to capture their attention.
